Total solar eclipse of 2017
August 21st, 2017
My Mom and I got up early on the morning of August 21st and drove up I-5
from Grants Pass to try to see the eclipse. We were very lucky to find
a great viewing site just off I-5 down Santiam Bluffs Road, overlooking
the Santiam River on the way to Jefferson. It was a perfectly clear
morning, and there were only a handful of other people in the area:
ideal viewing conditions. Here are some photos that I took, as well as
some photos taken by other people we met that day.
Please don't share these photos without the permission of the people in
them. If you would like me to remove a particular photo, just email me.
These photos are sorted in the order they were taken. Click on an image
or its caption to see a larger version. You can press the `n' and `p'
keys to go to the next and previous image when viewing the larger
versions. Use the `original' versions to make prints. Aloha,
