Mom was originally skeptical of the need to drive in traffic for 9 hours to get from 93% occlusion at her home in Grants Pass to 100% occlusion -- but she was convinced afterwards! We bailed just a few minutes after totality to try and beat the rush of Californians heading south on I-5, but it still took about twice as long to drive home as it had to drive there. Worth it!
